I had the privilege of Bridie and Michael choosing me to be their wedding photographer at the wonderful The Pumping House in Ollerton, Nottinghamshire recently. I had visited The Pumping House only briefly a few years ago while helping another photographer, so revisiting and photographing my own wedding at this unique venue was always high on my list.

As a wedding photographer I was in dreamland at The Pumping House. Not only are there so many interesting features at this venue, so many rooms to explore, but the lighting is some of the best I have experienced at a wedding. A wonderful venue and an amazing couple in Bridie and Michael was the perfect fit.

The wedding really did have it all. From epic confetti canons to a magician that literally blew everyones minds! I’ve never been able to complete a rubik cube, so to observe the magician complete one while blindfolded was mind boggling. The speeches were wonderful and heartfelt, while also hilarious, some of the funniest speeches I have heard.

I’ve been a solo photographer for a while now, but I’ve always had a keen interest in video. So for the wedding of Bridie and Michael I decided to also create a wedding film. It’s the first time I have ever gone full hybrid at a wedding, photo + video + drone + audio. It’s not for the faint hearted I must say, and it did add a little stress to things, but it worked out and I loved doing it.

A big thank you to all of the staff who were so helpful throughout the day. Also a big thanks to all of the guests who made me feel welcome, and last but not least a big thanks to Bridie and Michael for choosing me. You really couldn’t have done enough for me, and I truly appreciate it!

All the very best to you both, and a huge congratulations again!

Here’s a few photos from this wonderful day…
