Introducing Jenny and Chris, two of the most chilled and funny bride and grooms I have had the pleasure to photograph. The wedding was held at the fabulous, and one of my new favourite venues The Riverlands Wedding Barns.

Over the years I have visited quite a few barn weddings, and The Riverlands Wedding Barns is right up there as one of the very best. From the layout, the styling to the staff, its all first class and I highly recommend it for any couple who are searching for that perfect venue. Kate and Ed who own the venue are so lovely and friendly too!

When I arrive at a venue the first place that I want to take a look at is the location for the ceremony, and here the ceremony was held in the 18th century brick barn. Lots of space and lovely light, so it was perfect for me to capture the finer moments.

For the reception it was held in the wooden party barn, again absolutely perfect to photograph. I can safely say I haven’t laughed as much as I did at this wedding, my face was literally aching! The speeches were both emotional and at times absolutely brutal. From cardboard cutouts of the groom, to the best men inviting the guests to choose an embarrassing back story. Chris the groom did well to keep it all together.

There were so many details to capture too. Every guests had an egg cup, with a drawing and a message about them. I thought this was so unique, and not something I had seen before. Apparently it took Jenny and Chris months to finish them!

During the evening we had family guests singing for the lovely couple, the first dance and then Back Chat Brass turning up as a surprise! No guests had any idea that a brass band would be playing, and they were fantastic!

I absolutely loved this wedding, and I cannot thank Jenny and Chris enough for choosing me to be your The Riverlands Yorkshire wedding photographer. It was a dream to photograph. Congratulations to you both! All the very best 🙂
