LITTLE WOLD VINEYARD WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
If anyone ever asks me to show an example of how to capture a wedding day with a documentary approach this is it! The fun, the love, the venues, the entertainment, the moments, the wedding of Megan and Nathan had everything.
Trust me when I say, this wedding was an absolute blast from start to finish, perfectly suited to my style of documentary wedding photography. Megan and Nathan were more than happy to let me capture the day through my lens, not many posed photos, and thats exactly what I did.
“Brendan was amazing from start to finish. From our first ever email, to our last! Brendan is the most genuine, polite, calming guy I’ve ever met. The photos from our wedding day are beyond stunning and everything we hoped for and more. He made us feel so comfortable and the natural shots allowed us to enjoy the whole day without the added stress of too many staged photos. The day was captured BEAUTIFULLY, and every photo has a story that we were able to look back on and talk about. We would 100% recommend O’Hara Photography, and Brendan you deserve more than a 5 star rating.”
THE CEREMONY
The ceremony was held at the All Saints church in Hessle, a church I have visited before. It’s truly beautiful inside, and was the perfect fit for Megan and Nathan. During the ceremony there were tears flowing, you could clearly see how much love was in that church!
RECEPTION
After the ceremony, we moved the party to the breathtaking Little Wold Vineyard, tucked away in the glorious Yorkshire Wolds Way. Picture this: rolling vineyards, sweeping views, and an atmosphere that was just fun to be around. Megan and Nathan sure knew how to pick a venue. Every detail was meticulously planned, from the elegant table settings to the entertainment that was to come.
Balloons Taking Flight: Honouring Loved Ones
As if the day wasn’t already bursting with love and emotion, guests were then invited to let balloons fly with little messages to loved ones passed. In honour of those who had recently passed away, guests were invited to release balloons into the air. It was a beautiful and symbolic gesture, a poignant reminder that love transcends all boundaries, even in the face of loss. Tears mingled with smiles as the balloons soared, carrying their hopes and memories high into the sky.
SHOUTOUTS
Megan and Nathan knew how to throw a party to remember. They had the incredible band Turn up The Sun cranking out killer tunes that had everyone on their feet, dancing the night away. The energy was electric, and the dance floor was a swirling sea of laughter, twirling dresses, and some seriously questionable dance moves (we won’t name names!). It was a night of pure celebration, and they had everyone on the dancefloor!
The Saxophonist Extraordinaire.
Just when we thought the night couldn’t get any more epic, in comes the talented saxophonist Matthew Smith, blowing our minds with his saxophone! Probably the best I have seen when getting everyone involved.
Born Boho, what can I say, you always know Born Boho has styled the wedding as soon as you arrive. Over the years I have photographed so many weddings where Born Boho have been the stylist, but sadly not met. Low and behold, three weddings in a row I get to meet and chat with Claire! Highly recommended, and the best there is.
One of the very first things I noticed when I arrived at Megans home were the flowers. They were so elegant and beautiful, and I thought “I wonder if this is Floral and Lace?” and sure enough it was! There’s no mistaking a Floral and Lace bouquet, and one of the very best florists around!
Last but not least, let’s give a big shoutout to the super talented Johnny at A&A Videography. Working side by side with Johnny was fantastic. Sometimes videographers and photographers may have creative differences, but we both had the same style of documenting the day rather than having everyone posed! Highly recommend Johnny for anyone on the lookout for a videographer.
A massive thank you to Megan and Nathan for choosing me to capture their day. As a working Yorkshire Wedding Photographer it really was a dream to photograph. All the very best to you both and your beautiful family!
