LINCOLNSHIRE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

“Bren, thank you so much for the beautiful photos, they are just stunning we are over the moon with them! Thanks again for your services during our special day!”

I have been so looking forward to Lottie and Jacobs wedding for a long time. I am predominantly a Yorkshire Wedding Photographer, so it’s always nice when I venture into new areas of the country. The wedding was held in Faldingworth, Lincolnshire, an area of the country that is just stunning.

The ceremony took place at a lovely church called St Hilary in Spridlington, and the vicar was lovely and helpful. With all church wedding ceremonies you are never really sure what to expect. Being a Hull wedding photographer I’ve come to expect bumps in the road at weddings.

My last two church ceremonies have been fantastic, with the vicars more than helpful, but I’ve had my fair share of horror stories. A few years ago I had a vicar tell me not to take photos as he was a photographer, and he proceeded to use his phone during the ceremony! Bizarre, thankfully I didn’t listen.

ALDE FELDE FARM RECEPTION

The reception venue was held back at the family farm called Alde Felde Farm, where they have a beautiful lodge that can be rented at the Faldingworth Farm Lodge, along with several shepherd huts. It’s definitely worth checking out if you just want to get away from the hustle and bustle.

Back at the farm Lottie and Jacob had three connected tipis. With the reception being classed as outdoors it did mean people could get up and dance! It must be close to 18 months since I last set up lights for a dance floor. It did take me a few attempts to get everything right as it’s been so long, but thankfully I got there.

As a documentary wedding photographer you dream for weddings like this. With multiple venues, so much happening, plenty of details and moments to capture, this is why I love being a Yorkshire wedding photographer.

A big shoutout to the wonderful Wild at Heart Tipis who were the caterers for the reception. I spent a great deal of time speaking with them, and their food was top-notch!

Congratulations to Lottie and Jacob on your big day, you finally did it! All the very best to you both, and thank you for choosing me.

GEAR USED

For this wedding I used two Sony A9ii cameras, and I recently picked up the Sony FE 35mm f1.4 GM lens. It’s safe to say the 35mm GM lens is the best lens I have ever used. Super sharp, incredible bokeh and blazingly fast autofocus. It’s my goto now.
