HIRST PRIORY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY – LOIS & JAMES
I have been so looking forward to the wedding of Lois and James, which was held at one of my favourite venues Hirst Priory.
We cannot recommend O’Hara photography enough – Bren was absolutely brilliant. The photos are incredible and the turnaround time is unbelievable; we got home from our honeymoon and got the gallery the next day! Bren has a great eye for capturing beautiful moments between people, and also the creativity to set up stunning portrait photos. Further to this, you don’t realise how big a part of your day the photographer becomes, and it was so lovely to have Bren and Andras with us! It was just like they were part of the family. Everyone felt really relaxed around them which made for stunning natural photos.
Like many couples, Lois and James had to navigate through the mess that is Covid. Thankfully though the big day went ahead without a hitch, and what a grand day it was! I knew leading up to the wedding that their beautiful three pet dogs would play a big part in the day. Being an animal lover myself I couldn’t wait to see them, and may I add they all did a great job!
I have been lucky enough to visit Hirst Priory several times in the past year. With beautiful grounds and scenery and a stunning manor, it really is a dream venue for a wedding. May I add that Hazel and the staff are outstanding in everything they do. They really cannot do enough on the day. Certainly some of the best customer service I have experienced at a venue.
The Vaults
The wedding of Lois and James was a little different to the rest, as everything was held in The Vaults. If you’ve never visited Hirst Priory then The Vaults are situated below the country house. The Vaults are 300 year old vaulted brick cellars, and so unique while creating a beautiful and lovely ambience. I do believe The Vaults was absolutely perfect for Lois and James magical wedding.
Till Death Do Us Part & Those Boots!
Leading up to the wedding I knew that Lois and James had gotten matching “Till death do us part” tattoos, so I was really looking forward to seeing those. I must also mention the Doc Martens that Lois was wearing, absolutely incredible! Was certainly one of the highlights from the wedding with many guests talking about them. I loved them!
A big thanks to the staff at Hirst Priory, and also Andras who has worked alongside me for the past few months. You’ve been absolutely amazing mate! Thank you.
All in all it was a magical winter wedding for Lois and James. I certainly left feeling like I had known them for years! A massive thank you to them for choosing me to be their wedding photographer. It was a dream, and a nice little reminder why I love working as a wedding photographer.
