THE HIGHFIELD HOUSE WEDDING – HARRIET & CHRIS

As a Yorkshire wedding photographer I can safely say I have attended most weddings venues over the past 15 years, but now again there will be one that I have somehow missed! This was the case for the wonderful wedding of Harriet and Chris, which was held at the beautiful and unique The Highfield House, situated in Driffield.

“Bren captured our wedding day in June at the Highfield House in Driffield and we are completely blown away by our wedding photos. Bren offers a documentary style of photography which meant that he perfectly caught “the moment” throughout our day.

We also did a smoke shoot with Bren which turned out to be the best decision!

Bren stayed with us from getting ready through to our shot trolley party late on the evening! He managed to get all of the photos we had asked for and many many more!! We can’t thank Bren enough for all of his efforts and are so happy with how our wedding album has turned out. Beautiful photographs of a beautiful venue!

Back Again!

Having photographed Harriet’s sister, Annie’s wedding just a few months prior, it felt like a reunion. With familiar faces, and a few “Weren’t you at Annie’s wedding?” coming my way. I cannot stress enough what a unique experience it is for me to be part of a family’s journey like this. To photograph both sisters wedding is a real honour for me.

Rain or Shine, The Fun Prevails

The weather may have been less than ideal with its relentless downpour, but Harriet and Chris did not let that dampen their spirits. The Highfield House, with its stunning architecture and lush surroundings, provided the perfect backdrop for a day that was as beautiful inside as it was outside. Thankfully we had a few rare spells of dry weather, so it was a quick rush to get the shots and head back in.

So Many Highlights

From confetti to pink smoke bombs, to a couple photoshoot in a bath! Thats a first for me! To a shot trolley being brought out on to the dance floor (yes I had a couple) it really was a day that had so much happening. As a Yorkshire wedding photography with a documentary approach you dream of weddings like this.

A Busy Yet Rewarding Year

Reflecting on 2024, it has been an incredibly busy year for me as an events and wedding photographer. Each wedding tells its own unique story, and Harriet and Chris’ wedding was no different. The love and joy that radiated from this couple and their loved ones made every moment behind the lens worthwhile.
