HARTHILL WEST YORKSHIRE WEDDING PHOTGRAPHY
I had the privilege of photographing the wonderful wedding of Jo and Dirk, held in Harthill near Sheffield recently.
Make no mistake this was a WET day, practically torrential rain at times, but that didn’t dampen the day one bit.
Recently we’ve photographed weddings that are held in several different locations and typically quite far apart, and that’s always fine with us! But Jo and Dirk’s wedding was practically held along one street. I first met up with Jo at her home to capture some getting ready photos, and then I headed off to All Hallows’ Church, which was literally a two minute walk.
All Hallows’ Church is stunning, but I was asked to stand towards the back. I always prefer to be at the front, but you have to respect the wishes of the registrars or vicars in these situations. Luckily, that’s where my 85mm and 135mm lenses came into play, and with those lenses being primes I could open them up.
From the ceremony it was off to The Beehive, which was just across the road from the church. The Beehive is a lovely venue to hold a reception, and the staff were super friendly and helpful.
We’ve been so fortunate this wedding season to have visited so many beautiful places along with photographing so many wonderful people, and Jo and Dirk along with their family and friends were the loveliest!
All the very best to you both 🙂
“Brendan did a fantastic job photographing our wedding recently. He immediately put everyone at ease, and seamlessly captured our wedding without anyone standing on ceremony…exactly the style of photography we wanted to capture our big day. We can’t recommend Brendan highly enough!”
