Lucy and James’ Yorkshire Wedding at Clapham Holme Farm
As a Yorkshire wedding photographer, I am often privileged to witness and capture the most beautiful moments of couples’ lives. Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing the magical wedding of Lucy and James, held at the wonderful Clapham Holme Farm in Great Hatfield.

Such care was taken with the photos and the editing was completed in a week so we were able to enjoy the beautiful photos very soon after the wedding. This was a wedding that had everything. From confetti to bands playing, a magician, farm animals, to ceilidh dancing (my favourite). This wedding really did break a few trends, none more so than rather than throwing the bouquet it was a stuffed toy cat!
I had been speaking with Lucy for close to three years I believe, and their wedding was postponed several times due to covid. Thankfully it finally took place, and it was worth the wait!
A Rustic Dream Venue
Nestled just a short 5-minute drive from my home, Clapham Holme Farm proved to be the perfect backdrop for Lucy and James’ special day. The farm’s picturesque beauty and tranquil surroundings set the stage for an unforgettable celebration of love. With rolling green hills and quaint farmyard details, this venue truly encapsulated the essence of a Yorkshire wedding.
Guests were greeted by the warm embrace of the countryside and the delightful company of some unexpected guests – goats and donkeys! The farm’s resident animals added an extra layer of charm to the day, providing endless entertainment and photo opportunities for everyone in attendance.
