CAVE CASTLE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

The wedding of Elsie and Harry is a wedding I’ve been so looking forward to for what seems like forever after the pandemic chaos. With every wedding I am attending as a Yorkshire Wedding Photographer I can just sense the love and the sheer relief of finally getting married, and that really was the case for Elsie and Harry.

On the day Bren was so professional and funny, he clicked with us and our guests straight away. I could see him capturing every detail which I really loved. He had amazing ideas for what would create beautiful pictures. The editing after the wedding was SO quick and we have now received them all. We are so very much impressed, they are just even more beautiful than I ever imagined. We really do have so many stunning pictures to treasure forever thanks to Bren. Thank you again! Definitely recommend!

The wedding was split between St Nicholas church in Hornsea with the reception being held at Cave Castle, two beautiful venues for a wedding.

My day started at around 11am when I visited Elsie for some quick bridal prep photos. A big shout out to my good friend Kallum who grabbed a few photos of Harry getting ready at the same time. I have worked with Kallum in the past while photographing weddings and events, and he was a guest here! So he took along his camera, so thank you!

St Nicholas Church Hornsea

The ceremony was held at the stunning St Nicholas church in Hornsea. I haven’t visited the church since 2019 when I photographed a christening, so it was brilliant to be back. Every wedding ceremony that I have photographed in 2021 has had some kind of challenge. Whether it be me having to sit on a chair at the back of the room, or being told to stand at the far wall and not move a muscle! But the ceremony of Elsie and Harry was completely different, and a big thank you to Vicar Tina for that. Tina allowed me to stand up top, and even roam the church while hymns were being sung. It was like the old days, pre-covid.

Cave Castle Reception

Cave Castle in South Cave has always been one of my favourite venues to visit as a wedding photographer, it really is just a stunning venue for ceremonies or receptions. I have now been the Cave Castle wedding photographer several times now over the years, and I absolutely love it here.

When we arrived we were greeted by the toastmaster for the day, and he added so much entertainment and helped organise throughout, he really was fantastic. This can be said for all of the staff that day too who were just so helpful, and one of the members of staff even held a speaker on the lawns so that Elsie and Harry could have their first dance outside! I think that will be a long lasting memory for me, the first dance and guests dancing outside was magical.

More Shoutouts

A couple more shoutouts, first to my good friend Annie from Annie Elizabeth Cake Design who made the wedding cake for Elsie and Harry. It was simply beautiful, with all guests commenting how perfect it was. I may be a bit biased, but Annie is definitely up there as one of the best in Yorkshire. Her attention to detail is second to none. Well done Annie!

I had the pleasure of working alongside Bradley from Lord Creates Weddings videography. He was incredibly professional and has a great eye for capturing moments. Everyone I spoke to said how impressed they were with him! Well done mate.

All in all the wedding of Elsie and Harry is high up on my list of favourites. Elsie and Harry are two of the loveliest and friendliest couples I have met and couldn’t do more for me. Every documentary wedding photographer is constantly looking for those “moments”, and thankfully this wedding had everything, so it was a dream to photograph.

All the very best Elsie and Harry, you guys are awesome, thank you for choosing me to be your Cave Castle wedding photographer!
