I had an absolutely fantastic time photographing the stunning wedding of Sophia and Liam recently, held at Bardney Hall in Barton upon Humber.

Poor Sophia and Liam had to change their wedding date several times during the year, just like so many other couples too. At one point the wedding was going to take place at the family home, but at the very last minute it was made illegal by the government with the restrictions on groups socialising.

With a week to go Sophia, her mum and family managed to find a venue to host the wedding. Organising a wedding within a week takes some doing!

Bardney Hall is such a fabulous venue for a wedding. Beautiful gardens and rooms, and the staff were super friendly and helpful.

Goes without saying that 2020 has been devastating for so many people. Couples have had to move dates or cancel outright. For myself as an events and wedding photographer it has meant practically no work at all due to the Covid-19 pandemic, in fact this was my first wedding since March! It’s not just myself who has been hit hard by the covid-19 pandemic, but right across the wedding and hospitality industry.

By now I should have photographed 35 weddings and 10 events, so finally photographing a wedding was perhaps a little surreal but absolutely amazing. Make no mistake my cameras felt the full force of my pent up frustration, and I quite happily snapped away with three cameras.

Sophia and Liam thank you so much for choosing us to document your beautiful wedding, it was an honour.
